Manifesting Divine Will: The Gospel Lived Through Action (02/16/'24)

Manifesting Divine Will: The Gospel Lived Through Action In the fabric of life, where the essence of existence intertwines with the divine, the Gospel emerges not merely as an abstract concept but as the very nourishment that sustains us. It is as tangible and vital as the bread we consume and the water that quenches our deepest thirsts. This profound truth invites us to understand that our actions are more than mere movements; they are the visible manifestation of God's will in the world. Jesus, embodying this principle through his humanity, accepted the cross as both a sacrifice and a conduit, transforming his suffering into the life-giving sustenance for all—offering himself as the eternal bread of life. This journey that Jesus embarked upon is not distant or detached from our reality but deeply ingrained in the fabric of our daily lives. It calls us to not just ponder in thought but to act with conviction. The essence of our faith becomes apparent through our actions, as they are the most genuine expressions of our belief. Jesus emphasized this when he urged us to believe in the works if we struggle with the words, highlighting that true faith is demonstrated through deeds that echo God's presence within us. Therefore, the call of the Gospel is to live out our faith in such a way that our actions become a vivid testament to our beliefs. This isn't about the grandeur of our words but the authenticity and impact of our deeds. By embodying the principles of love, kindness, and self-sacrifice in our daily interactions, we bring the kingdom of heaven closer to earth. Our lives then serve not just as a reflection of our faith but as a beacon, guiding others towards the divine love and grace that we have been called to share. This is how we truly live the Gospel—by ensuring that every action of ours resonates with the profound truth of God's will, making the divine tangible in the world around us. -Pastor Steven G.
