Repentance signifies a deep-seated decision to turn away from the shadowy realms of sin and error, venturing instead into the luminous path of righteousness and truth. This process is akin to the natural shedding of old fur by a tiger or leopard in autumn, symbolizing a comprehensive renewal both internally and externally under the auspices of Christ's righteousness. At the heart of repentance is the stark awakening to the egregious nature of sin—a realization that fosters a deep abhorrence for all acts of moral transgression. It ignites in the repentant soul a fervent desire to sever ties with sin and, in humble reliance on Christ, to seek reconciliation with God.
