Divine Action: The Heart of the Gospel
Dear Friends,
In a world where words often fall short, it is the divine acts of goodness that truly embody God's providence. It's a profound reminder that our actions, more than our words, reflect the true essence of God's benevolence.
Jesus Christ exemplified this principle magnificently. His life was a testament to the power of deeds over words, showing us that the gospel is not just to be spoken but to be lived. He taught us that genuine faith is demonstrated through our actions, which speak volumes to those around us.
"If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me. But if I am doing them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works themselves, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I am in the Father" (John 10:37-38). These words of Jesus challenge us to recognize the undeniable evidence of divine presence and mission through His actions.
The gospel's essence is thus not merely a narrative to be heard but a profound truth to be witnessed and experienced. Through acts of faith, love, and grace, we become beacons of God's light in this world, guiding others toward divine truth beyond the confines of language.
Let us, therefore, be inspired to live out our faith with actions that resonate with God's love. Let our deeds illuminate the path for others, showcasing the transformative power of the gospel lived in action. As we share this message, may we encourage one another to embody the divine providence in every act of kindness and every gesture of love.
In faith and fellowship,
Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 3, 2024)
