Embracing Mercy: The Path to Redemption (03/15/'24) -Statement

Embracing Mercy: The Path to Redemption The gravest darkness beyond sin is not the sin itself but the state of unrepentance. Understanding God's mercy is crucial; true mercy does not find us at our best but rather in our most chaotic, troubled states. The absence of mercy is the root of all evil. We are called to be merciful just as our Father is merciful, to refrain from judgment and condemnation, and to embrace forgiveness, as taught by Jesus (Lk 6:36-37). Mercy, indeed, triumphs over judgment (James 2:13). Mercy does not shine its light on us when we are in places of perfection but finds us lost in the darkness, offering guidance back to light. This principle underscores the importance of extending mercy as a reflection of divine will, encouraging us not to judge or condemn but to forgive and thus, be forgiven. It is through mercy that love and insights are revealed, showing us the path to wholeness and aligning us with God’s will. Mercy is the key to transformation and redemption, proving that even in our most tumultuous moments, there is hope for a return to grace. Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 15, 2024)
