Reflection on the Human Body as a Temple (03/14/'24) -Message

Reflection on the Human Body as a Temple “There are many temples on earth, but the human body is the best temple where God's life-giving spirit resides.” The Cleansing of the Temple: In a decisive act recorded across the Gospels, Jesus entered the physical temple and displayed righteous indignation towards the commercial activities that defiled its sacred space. He began to drive out those who sold and bought within the temple grounds. Not only did he overturn the tables of the money-changers, but he also disrupted the routine of those carrying goods through the temple, emphasizing the sanctity of this holy place. This event is documented in: Mark 11:15-16 Matthew 21:12 Luke 19:45 John 2:13-15 Through this action, Jesus reiterated the importance of keeping sacred spaces free from worldly corruption and highlighted the contrast between the physical temple made of stone and the spiritual temple that is the human body.
