Subject: A Gentle Reminder: Living Our Faith Through Actions Hey dear friends, I hope this message finds you well and thriving. Today, I felt compelled to share some thoughts that have been weighing on my heart, reflections that remind us of the depth and beauty of our journey in faith. Living Faith: The Impact of Our Actions and the Call to Integrity In our walk with Christ, it's crucial to remember that our actions extend far beyond ourselves, touching the lives of those around us in ways we might not even realize. As we navigate through our days, the seeds we sow through our words and deeds can either nurture growth or hinder it, not just in our lives but in the hearts of others as well. Galatians 6:7-10 speaks to the heart of this, reminding us that we reap what we sow. It urges us to not grow weary in doing good, for in due time, we shall reap a harvest if we do not give up. This principle challenges us to continually seek to do good for all, especially to those in our faith community. James 2:14-17 echoes this sentiment, highlighting the inseparable link between faith and works. Our faith, if not accompanied by action, is lifeless. True faith propels us into action, into doing what is right, even when it is uncomfortable, challenging, or goes unnoticed. Philippians 2:3-4 and 1 Peter 5:5-6 further guide us towards humility and selflessness, principles that lie at the very heart of Christ's teachings. They call us to value others above ourselves, not out of obligation, but out of genuine love and humility, recognizing that we are all part of something much larger than ourselves. In sharing these reflections, my hope is to inspire us all to live out our faith with intention and integrity. Let's strive to be mindful of the impact of our actions, to sow seeds of kindness and love wherever we go, and to embody the humility and selflessness that Christ exemplified. May we encourage each other in this journey, holding fast to the truth that our shared faith is not just about belief but about how those beliefs manifest in our actions towards others. Wishing you all a week filled with grace and opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of those around you. With love and in faith, Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 1, 2024)
