Subject: Journeying Together: Faith, Service, and Sacrifice (03/10/'24) >Message

Subject: Journeying Together: Faith, Service, and Sacrifice Dear Friends and Family, In these times, when the clamor for signs and wonders often overshadows the essence of true faith, I'm reminded of a powerful message: the only sign given to us is the life and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. This act of ultimate love and sacrifice is not just a historical event but a beacon of hope and faith for all of us. Galatians 6:8 teaches us about the profound choice we face daily—whether to live for the fleeting desires of the flesh or to sow into our spiritual lives, knowing that from the Spirit, we will reap eternal life. This wisdom encourages us to evaluate where we are investing our energies and to prioritize spiritual growth and divine virtues. Mark 10:45 beautifully illustrates Christ's mission on Earth, not to be served, but to serve others, even to the point of sacrificing Himself for the greater good. This example of humility and self-giving love challenges us to reflect on our roles in the lives of others and how we might serve and sacrifice for their well-being. Matthew 10:38 calls us to embrace the challenges of following Jesus, reminding us that true commitment involves taking up our own crosses. It's a journey of perseverance, self-denial, and steadfast dedication to walking in His footsteps, understanding the profound implications of our faith in action. I invite you all to reflect on these messages and consider how they might resonate in your own lives. Let's encourage each other to live a life of faith, service, and sacrifice, following the example set by Christ. It's in embracing this journey together that we find true fulfillment and the path to eternal life. With hope and faith, Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 10, 2024)
