Title: The Divine Paradox: Embracing the Wisdom of the Gospel (03/06/'24) < Statement

Title: The Divine Paradox: Embracing the Wisdom of the Gospel In the eyes of the world, the Gospel of Jesus Christ may seem to embody contradiction—a message that at first appears devoid of conventional wisdom, marked by its seeming simplicity and unorthodoxy. Yet, it is precisely within this paradox that its true power and beauty lie. The Gospel, in its divine wisdom, invites us to see beyond the superficial values of the world, challenging us to forsake our egocentric perspectives and physical limitations. The teachings of Jesus Christ prompt us to redefine what we perceive as valuable and what we dismiss as insignificant. According to 1 Corinthians 1:27-31, the Gospel operates on a divine logic that reverses worldly standards: it finds strength in weakness, wisdom in foolishness, and honor in humility. This divine reversal is not just a theoretical concept but a practical guide for living. By valuing what the world overlooks, the Gospel empowers us to protect and enrich our lives in ways that transcend material wealth or societal status. This message, though seemingly counterintuitive, offers a path to true enlightenment and liberation. It encourages us to embrace humility, love, and divine grace, leading us toward a deeper understanding of our purpose and place in the world. The wisdom of the Gospel thus becomes a beacon of hope and a source of strength, guiding us to live in alignment with eternal truths rather than fleeting worldly standards. As we share this message, let us remember the transformative power of embracing the divine paradox at the heart of the Gospel. It challenges us to look beyond the surface, to find beauty and wisdom in what the world may dismiss, and to live in a way that reflects the profound depth of God's love and wisdom. This is the essence of the Gospel—a call to live a life of depth, integrity, and true fulfillment, anchored in the wisdom that transcends earthly understanding. Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 6, 2024)
