The Essence of Divine Authority and True Value in Jesus' Teachings Forgiving sins and enabling physical healing are both within Jesus' authority, as he demonstrates that spiritual restoration can be as visible and tangible as physical healing. God, who is the source of all things, does not place value on external appearances; instead, true value emerges when we recognize and appreciate the intrinsic worth of the seemingly non-precious. Unlike slaves, who serve without understanding, the friends of Jesus are privy to the inner workings and purposes of God, an intimacy that elevates their relationship beyond mere obedience. Even Solomon in all his splendor could not match the simple, unadorned beauty of God's creation, reminding us that divine glory often transcends human perceptions of grandeur. Pastor Steven G.
