Seeds of Light: A Journey Towards Divine Goodness (03/13/'24) -Message
Seeds of Light: A Journey Towards Divine Goodness
Hey friends,
I've been reflecting on a profound theme recently: the true essence of justice and righteousness belongs exclusively to God. It struck me how, even in the story of Abraham and Sodom, it's clear that divine mercy plays a crucial role alongside justice. It's a powerful reminder that in a world often filled with corruption, the existence of just a few good souls can significantly influence the divine.
This notion is further echoed in the quest for a single just individual in Jerusalem, highlighting how rare true righteousness is and emphasizing that, as Jesus pointed out, no one is good except God alone. It's a humbling thought that true goodness and justice are divine attributes that we, as humans, strive toward but can find challenging to embody fully.
The analogy of a Redwood Tree, producing millions of seeds, beautifully symbolizes the potential impact of divine goodness. Just like a single tree can lead to the creation of an entire forest, a single act of kindness or righteousness can inspire goodness on a much larger scale.
Lamentations expresses a deep sense of isolation and despair, yet it also reminds us of our need for divine comfort and restoration. It's a call to seek God's mercy and justice in our lives and to be sources of comfort to those around us.
In essence, these reflections remind us that while we may strive for righteousness, the purest form of justice and goodness comes from God. It's a hopeful message that encourages us to look for and spread goodness in our world, inspired by the divine example.
Let's carry this thought with us, aiming to be beacons of goodness in our own circles, inspired by the divine purity that guides us.
Warmly,
Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 13, 2024)
