Embracing Gospel-Centered Standards for Unity and Personal Growth (02/01/'24)

Embracing Gospel-Centered Standards for Unity and Personal Growth Creating personal standards based on individual beliefs is quite different from basing them on the teachings of the gospel of Christ. When you set your own benchmarks, it's common to expect others to follow these same guidelines. However, establishing your standards on the gospel leads to a more inclusive outlook, removing the pressure for others to conform to your personal beliefs. As advised in Romans 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." This encourages us to align with God's will—which is good, acceptable, and perfect—over our subjective standards. Adopting this viewpoint not only promotes our own growth but also builds unity and understanding among people with different views, based on the consistent and eternal truths of the gospel. -Pastor Steven G.
