Embrace Yourself with Love
In the garden of your soul, where feelings grow,
Tend to every bloom, let self-love flow.
In this nurturing, does awareness glow,
A beacon within, in steady tow?
Imagine then, this love's warm embrace,
Reaching out, touching another's face.
If every heart were so enlaced,
Wouldn’t mental storms leave without a trace?
For at the core of human strife,
Is the neglect of one's own life.
"I love others, yet forget my own,"
A silent whisper in the bone.
Ancient words, like rivers, run clear,
"Love thy neighbor," we're meant to hear.
Yet a greater challenge, scriptures pose:
To love our foes, and peace compose.
In this quest, humanity's test unfurls,
A journey to be our best in this world.
To love like this, with self and foe,
Is the bravest path we ever hoe.
