The Glory of God: A Conscience Cleansed (07/03/'24) -Message

The Glory of God: A Conscience Cleansed Dear brothers and sisters, Today, I want to take you on a journey through a profound truth captured in the trials and triumphs of our Savior, Jesus Christ. In the vast expanse of the desert, our Lord stood alone. Temptations whispered around Him, seeking to plant seeds of doubt and distraction. Yet, through His steadfast faith and unwavering resolve, He withstood each cunning snare. In His victory, the glory of God shone brightly, manifested through grace and mercy. The wilderness served as a crucible, a place where the human heart discerns light from dark. It was in that stark silence, amid the tempter's lies, that the voice of conscience became clear. Temptations presented a battle of the soul, a choice to either yield or stand firm, to fragment under pressure or remain whole in faith. Our Savior, the beacon of truth, chose righteousness every time, and through His choices, the strength of His truth was magnified. Jesus faced each enticement with a resolve that brought clarity and purity to the conscience. For in those moments, God's will was revealed as the righteous, holy choice, guiding us through the darkness. He did not falter but instead provided a path for us, a way to cleanse our own consciences, making them pure and clear. In doing so, He draws us ever closer to His heart. Repentance is the key that aligns our hearts with His, refining the answer of a good conscience toward God. In this alignment, the glory of God is revealed, not just in the grand acts of mercy and grace but in the everyday victories over temptation. Through every trial, every test we face, a clear conscience leads us to righteousness and keeps us near to the divine. O wondrous grace, O tender call of mercy, it is through Christ that we find our hope. In Him, we see that overcoming temptation is not just about resisting sin but about listening to the voice of our conscience, which He has purified. It is about drawing near to God and finding strength in His presence. Let us, therefore, embrace the truth that our Lord has demonstrated. Let us seek to keep our consciences clear, aligning our hearts with His will through repentance. For in this alignment, we will see the glory of God in our lives, shining brightly through our acts of mercy, grace, and steadfast faith. May we be ever vigilant, listening to the voice of our conscience, standing firm in the face of temptation, and drawing nearer to the heart of God. Through this, we will reveal His glory to the world. Amen. Pastor Steven G. Lee (July 3, 2024)
