Title: The Sacred Calculus of Conscience (07/01/'24) -Message

Title: The Sacred Calculus of Conscience Dear Beloved, Today, I invite you to reflect on the profound battles waged by Jesus, battles that were not fought on physical battlegrounds or within the confines of doctrinal disputes but within the tender realms of our human hearts. Jesus' mission was to awaken our souls to the voice within, to cleanse what had been stained, and to heal what had been wounded. In the simplicity of the temple's shadow, a poor widow offered her two copper coins. Though small to the world, her offering was immeasurable in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus declared, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury.” His words reveal a divine truth: the value of our actions is not measured by worldly standards but by the purity of our intent. This widow's humble gift outweighed the wealth of kings because it was given with a sincere heart. Jesus shows us that a good conscience, cleansed by His sacrifice, becomes the vessel through which we serve the living God. As Hebrews 9:14 proclaims, “How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!” The cleansing of our consciences through Christ's blood transforms us, calling us to a higher service and attuning our lives to the divine heartbeat. Jesus fought not with the sword but with the power of love, speaking directly to our hearts. His battles were not for the conquest of lands but for the redemption of souls. In the silent corners of our hearts, where our conscience speaks, His voice still echoes, guiding us toward a life of purity, service, and divine purpose. In this sacred calculus of conscience, the smallest acts of faith and love hold infinite value. Let us recognize this truth in our daily lives. Let us embrace a conscience cleansed by Christ's sacrifice and a heart devoted to the living God. By doing so, we find our true measure not in earthly riches but in the purity of our intentions and the sincerity of our devotion. May we be inspired by the widow's example and Jesus' teachings to live lives of humble faith and sincere love, serving God with all our hearts. In Christ's love, Pastor Steven G. Lee (July 1, 2024)
