Subject: Embracing a Path of Light and Mercy (04/25/'24) -Message

Subject: Embracing a Path of Light and Mercy Dear Friends, In the twists and turns of life, we often find ourselves at crossroads, faced with the decision of which path to take. As we navigate these choices, let us consider the wisdom found in scripture, which illuminates our journey with divine guidance. "Arise, depart; this place harbors no safety, Your deeds have sealed its fate to ruin." These words, whispered by the prophet Micah, remind us of the urgent need to leave behind the places and practices that no longer serve our higher purpose or align with divine will. Yet, in the face of our missteps, there is a beacon of hope: "Where sins abound, grace flows ever deeper." Paul's bold proclamation in Romans assures us that God’s grace is boundless, surpassing our faults and filling us with the light of forgiveness and redemption. As we embrace this overflowing grace, let us also heed the counsel of Peter: "Meet not evil with evil, nor insult with insult." Instead, we are challenged to respond to negativity with blessings, reflecting the grace we have received by extending it to others. Let this message serve as a reminder to all of us to choose the path of light and mercy. Each step forward is a declaration of faith; each act of kindness, a testament to grace. Together, let us walk in harmony with divine wisdom, choosing love and grace over retribution. May this poem inspire us to reflect the light we have been granted, and may our actions always align with the highest callings of our hearts. Blessings and Peace, Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 25, 2024)
