Subject: The True Essence of Ministry* (04/24/'24) -Message

Subject: The True Essence of Ministry Dear friends & colleagues, I hope this message finds you well. I want to share some reflections on the true essence of ministry and the pitfalls we must avoid to maintain its sanctity. When ministry turns into a performance, it loses its core purpose. The sacred space of the sanctuary transforms into a mere theater, the congregation shifts from participants to mere spectators, and worship becomes nothing more than entertainment. In such a scenario, the measure of success shifts dangerously from divine approval to human applause and approval. Let us strive to keep our focus on worshiping in spirit and truth, as God desires (John 4:24), and avoid the trap of performing for mere human recognition, which has no eternal value (Matthew 6:1). Thank you for taking the time to reflect on this with me. May we always seek to serve with genuine hearts devoted to God. Warm regards, Pastor Steven G. Lee SGMChurch/Corps April 24, 2024
