Message: The Fortress of God's Will (05/13/'24)

Message: The Fortress of God's Will Subject: The Safest Place Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a profound truth with you today: the safest place to be is within the will of God. His will is a fortress that stands unyielding and sure, guarding us against the storms of life. The Gospel embodies God's will, shining as a beacon of light in the darkness and guiding the lost. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV): "Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." These words remind us that it’s not enough to merely call on the Lord; we must actively do the will of our Father in heaven. Our faith must be lived out through our actions. Jesus also teaches us the greatest commandments in Mark 12:30-31: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." By loving God wholeheartedly and loving our neighbors as ourselves, we fulfill His will. It's essential to remember that everything done in the dark will eventually be brought to the light. No deed, whether good or bad, will remain hidden. This truth calls us to live with integrity and transparency, knowing that God sees all. In conclusion, the safest place to be is within the will of God. It's a place of refuge and peace where we find clarity, purpose, and the unwavering promise of His presence. May you find comfort and strength in these words. Blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (May 13, 2024)
