Faith, Learning, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ* (05/29/'24) -Passage

Faith, Learning, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ Understanding and insights flow naturally when we recognize that learning begins with faith. As Hebrews 11:3, Genesis 1:1, and John 1:3 suggest, there is nothing in this world we can truly learn without believing. Learning enters through the door of faith. Jesus Christ, the invisible God, became visible as a human being (Colossians 1:15; John 1:1, 18; John 14:9). Through this incarnation, God communicated directly with humanity (1 Corinthians 12:1-11), which is the essence of the gospel. The kingdom of God works to accomplish God's will on earth by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15; Luke 3:10; 24:47; Matthew 3:6; Acts 2:38). The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that the strong should serve the weak (Mark 15:21), the rich should serve the poor (Luke 18:27), and the wise should serve the foolish (1 Corinthians 1:27-29). When we fear and rejoice in the gospel of Jesus Christ, we preserve the world. As Jesus taught us to pray, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10; 3:2; 4:17; 7:21; 12:50; Luke 22:42). Pastor Steven G. Lee (May 29, 2024)
