Title: Whispers of Wealth: Reflections on Prosperity and Forgetting (05/23/'24) -Message
Title: Whispers of Wealth: Reflections on Prosperity and Forgetting
Introduction:
In times of abundance, it's easy to lose sight of our beginnings and the challenges that shaped us. This message explores the often-overlooked consequences of prosperity — the risk of forgetting where we came from and the values that guided us to success.
Prose: Echoes of Remembering: A Prose Poem on Prosperity and Memory
In halls lined with gold, where feasts never cease,
Whispers caution the hearts that find too much peace:
"Moses knew well," they softly declare,
"Prosperity leads to forgetful despair."
When tables overflow with the fruits of the land,
And life's harsher truths seem but grains of sand,
Remember the cold, the hunger, the fight,
That led us from darkness into the light.
The scrolls of old warn with ageless might,
In prosperity's lap, keep your memories in sight.
For wealth can make quiet the soul's deep plea,
Turn vibrant prayers to whispers, soft and free.
Pray for balance, as did the wise of old,
Neither riches nor want, but courage bold.
To never say, "Who is the Lord?" in our wealth,
Nor let poverty steal our spiritual health.
In plenty, let us not lose our way,
But hold fast to lessons of yesterday.
For in remembrance, our roots remain deep,
Guarding the soul from a forgetful sleep.
Poem: Silent Riches: Verses on Memory and Abundance
In halls of prosperity, where silence reigns,
Amongst the riches, a quiet strain:
"Moses warned," in whispers it sings,
"Prosperity to amnesia inevitably clings."
Heavy are the tables, laden with gain,
Do we recall the times of pain?
From the sacred texts, the warning clear,
Prosperity can make our memories disappear.
Let not the fullness of our plates,
Erase the past or seal our fates.
With humble hearts, let's seek to be,
Mindful of our history.
Pray, not for gold or poverty's snare,
But for daily bread and spiritual care.
Lest in our plenty, we forget and say,
"Who needs the Lord?" and turn away.
In wealth, remember the trials gone by,
Let not affluence blind our eye.
For in the echoes of our riches, we find,
The truest wealth — the awakened mind.
Conclusion:
Let this reflection serve as a reminder to us all. As we navigate through times of success and prosperity, let us not forget the essential lessons and spiritual humility that sustain our deepest connections and truest progress. Remember, in every whisper of wealth, lies the challenge to remember and grow.
