Reflections on Integrity and Truth (04/12/'24) -Message

Reflections on Integrity and Truth "I AM READY TO RISK MY LIFE." ~Job 13:14 In our journeys, we often encounter voices clamoring for change yet unwilling to embrace the risks that accompany true transformation. It's a stark reminder that actions speak louder than words. As we evaluate those around us, and indeed ourselves, we must be wary of the discrepancy between words and actions. The wise words, "It's better to be known as a sinner than a hypocrite," encapsulate the essence of authenticity. "People reveal themselves through their actions." True character is manifested not through mere words but through consistent actions. Hypocrisy, often veiled in loud proclamations, unravels when confronted with truth. As Jesus profoundly stated, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32) Furthermore, the call for genuine transformation resonates in the exhortation to "Bear fruits that befit repentance." The scriptures warn that every tree that does not bear good fruit is destined to be cut down and cast into the fire (Luke 3:8-9; Matthew 3:8-10). This metaphorical imagery challenges us to live lives that not only profess faith but also demonstrate it through tangible, positive contributions to the world around us. In essence, let us strive to be individuals whose actions align with their words, embracing risks for the sake of truth and transformation. Reflect on your actions today: Do they bear the fruits of genuine repentance and integrity? Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 12, 2024)
