Subject: Embracing Growth Through Pain and Courage* (04/17/'24) -Message

Subject: Embracing Growth Through Pain and Courage Dear Friends, I wanted to share some thoughts with you that have been on my mind, about the natural process of growth and healing and the role of courage in overcoming our fears. Like a tree shedding its old leaves, we too must let go of our past pains and sorrows to make room for new growth. Life teaches us that consciousness is intertwined with pain; it's an inevitable part of our existence. We must face it, feel it deeply, and eventually, let it heal us. As we learn to live with both pain and peace, we find that what often hurts us is also what heals us. This echoes the powerful question posed in 1 Corinthians 15:55: “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” Moreover, fear is a construct of our minds and stands as the barrier between us and our desires. It breeds superstition and inhumanity, holding us back from reaching our true potential. Remember, it is not thought but action—rooted in faith and hope—that will help us overcome these fears. We can conquer every challenge and every pain with determination and faith. As promised in Matthew 19:26, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." And in Isaiah 41:13, we are reassured, "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." May this message inspire you as much as it inspires me. Let us embrace the challenges and transform them into stepping stones for growth. Let's support each other in this journey, recognizing our value and the peace that comes from trusting in greater powers. With hope and encouragement, Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 17, 2024)
