Uplifting Together in Faith and Resilience* (04/15/'24) -Statement

Uplifting Together in Faith and Resilience In our lives, many people strive to rise by challenging and competing against others. However, Christ's approach was fundamentally different and deeply instructive: He rose by lifting others, embodying a spirit of compassion and support. This method inspires us to act in kindness, helping us elevate ourselves and those around us. The scriptures repeatedly call us to repentance with a clear and urgent message: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Matthew 3:2, Mt 4:17, Luke 10:9, Mark 1:15). This directive isn’t just a call to change but an invitation to realign our lives with divine principles and prepare ourselves for the spiritual blessings that follow true repentance. Life's storms serve a dual purpose. They are not merely obstacles meant to weaken us but are opportunities to showcase God’s power and our ability to persevere through adversity. These trials teach us what we are incapable of handling alone and demonstrate the value of divine strength in overcoming life’s challenges. Our faith in Christ informs us about the nature of true fear and courage. Reflecting on Christ’s humility—His willingness to humble Himself to the point of death on a cross—we see a profound truth about obedience and sacrifice (Philippians 2:8-9). For His submission and humility, God exalted Him, giving Him a name above all names. This ultimate act of humility and exaltation teaches us to embrace our trials with faith, knowing that our sacrifices are not in vain and that true exaltation comes from God. As we reflect on these truths, let's commit to uplifting each other in faith and love. By sharing and embodying this message, we can spread hope and encouragement, transforming our communities and ourselves as we navigate through life's storms together. Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 15, 2024)
