Statement: Embracing Grace and Conscience (05/23/'24)

Statement: Embracing Grace and Conscience (The Weave of Grace and Conscience) In the sanctum of the self, where silent threads weave, it becomes clear that by diligently fixing oneself, the world's disarray finds order. As echoed by Paul and the prophets in 1 Timothy, Hebrews, and Corinthians, it is understood: "You don’t need to fix other things." Be a vessel of mercy and a conduit of grace in Christ, acting with kindness like gentle rains on new grass. Inspired by the teachings of Matthew, Luke, and James, strive to dispel shadows with the light of grace and compassion. However, one must be cautious of paths that stray from this light. Pursuits devoid of mercy and grace can lead to distrust and peril, as warned in Luke, Hebrews, and Romans. Trust in Jesus is the cornerstone that must not be forsaken. Embrace the ancient yet ever-new law of grace and mercy, as Jesus did. Through John's gospel, the transformation of law into the soft linen of grace is seen, reinforced by Romans' testament to the enduring power of love over law. The things cherished more than God's will can lead to one's undoing, as cautioned by Matthew, Exodus, Corinthians, and Hebrews. In cultivating one's own garden, where mercy and grace bloom abundantly, the soul aligns with the divine, trading the ephemeral for the eternal. Strive to let His will be obeyed in the garden of the heart. Pastor Steven G. Lee (May 23, 2024)
