Subject: The Weave of Grace and Conscience
Dear Friends,
In the sanctum of the self, where silent threads weave, it becomes clear: by diligently fixing oneself, the world's disarray finds order. As echoed by Paul and the prophets in 1 Timothy, Hebrews, and Corinthians, we understand, "You don’t need to fix other things."
Be a vessel of mercy and a conduit of grace in Christ, acting with kindness like gentle rains on new grass. Inspired by the teachings of Matthew, Luke, and James, we strive to dispel shadows with the light of grace and compassion.
However, we must be cautious of paths that stray from this light. Pursuits devoid of mercy and grace can lead us to distrust and peril, as warned in Luke, Hebrews, and Romans. Trust in Jesus is the cornerstone we must not forsake.
Embrace the ancient yet ever-new law of grace and mercy, as Jesus did. Through John's gospel, we see the transformation of law into the soft linen of grace, reinforced by Romans' testament to the enduring power of love over law.
The things we cherish more than God's will can lead to our undoing, as cautioned by Matthew, Exodus, Corinthians, and Hebrews. In cultivating our own garden, where mercy and grace bloom abundantly, we align our souls with the divine, trading the ephemeral for the eternal.
May we all strive to let His will be obeyed in the garden of our hearts.
Best regards,
Pastor Steven G. Lee (May 23, 2024)
