Steadfast Governance in a Changing World: The Unchanging Principle of the Divine (05/02/'24) -Statement

Steadfast Governance in a Changing World: The Unchanging Principle of the Divine In a world defined by constant change, it is the unchanging nature of Jesus Christ, as stated in Hebrews 13:8—'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever'—that provides a foundational anchor. This principle suggests that mere change cannot govern itself; only something unchangeable, such as God or Love, can effectively manage and control change. The existence of all things and the movement of all beings are governed by a singular, unifying principle. This unity is crucial, emphasizing that every individual shares one life and one body, reflecting a broader interconnectedness and mutual dependence. Scriptural references, including 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Romans 12:4-8, and Ephesians 4:4, 15-16, illustrate this concept through the metaphor of the body of Christ, where diverse members operate in harmony as part of a single entity. Governance, therefore, cannot be fragmented or multi-faceted; effective governance derives from a singular, unchanging source. This perspective holds that true control in a turbulent world relies on steadfast principles, rather than on the unpredictable nature of change. Pastor Steven G. Lee (May 2, 2024)
