Subject: Discovering Steadfast Governance in Our Ever-Changing World (05/02/'24) -Message

Subject: Discovering Steadfast Governance in Our Ever-Changing World Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. Today, I want to share a profound insight rooted in a timeless truth that offers stability amidst our rapidly changing world. Hebrews 13:8 reminds us, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." This constancy in a sea of change brings us comfort and guidance. It teaches us that change cannot govern itself; only something unchangeable, like God or Love, has the power to control and bring order. Why do all things exist? Why do all beings move? It's because there is a singular, unifying principle at play. This unity is not just a concept but a lived reality, as we all share one life and one body, illustrating our interconnectedness and mutual dependence. This principle is beautifully illustrated in scriptures such as 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Romans 12:4-8, and Ephesians 4:4, 15-16, which liken humanity to the body of Christ, functioning harmoniously as one. Effective governance, therefore, must emanate from a singular, unchangeable source. It cannot be fragmented or swayed by the winds of change. This principle guides us to understand that real control in our turbulent world rests on steadfast, enduring truths, rather than the fleeting nature of change. I believe reflecting on this can inspire us to seek stability and coherence in our lives and in our communities by anchoring ourselves in what is truly constant and unchangeable. Warm regards, Pastor Steven G. Lee (Mary 2, 2024)
