Subject: The Election of Little Ones (05/12/'24) -Message

Subject: The Election of Little Ones Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a reflection inspired by a passage from the scriptures that speaks to the value and care of the little ones among us. In Matthew 18:10, we are reminded: "See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven." This verse echoes with the gentle admonition of our Savior, emphasizing the divine care and attention given to the little ones. In the sacred halls of heaven, their angels stand vigil, their eyes forever upon the face of our Father, a testament to the purity and significance of divine love. Additionally, 1 Timothy 5:21 commands us, "I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism." This clear and unwavering directive calls us to uphold sacred truths with an unblemished heart, free from the shadows of partiality and favoritism. We are called to a higher standard, one that mirrors the holiness and justice of our heavenly Father. In this divine tapestry, every soul, every thread, is precious. The little ones, often overlooked by the world, are cradled in the arms of angels, their worth immeasurable and their value profound. To cherish and honor them without prejudice is to glimpse the heart of God and participate in the eternal dance of grace and mercy. In our quiet moments of reflection, let us remember this sacred charge. To see the face of God in the innocent, to act with justice and love, is to align ourselves with the divine will. The election of the little ones is a mirror of our own call to humility, kindness, and a love that transcends all partiality, shining as a beacon of light in a world often shrouded in darkness. May we strive to live out this calling in our daily lives, honoring the little ones as God does. Blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (May 12, 2024)
