Subject: Discover the Nearness of the Kingdom: Living with Grace and Empathy* (04/18/'24) -Message

Subject: Discover the Nearness of the Kingdom: Living with Grace and Empathy Dear Friends, I wanted to share a reflection that might resonate with you as it did with me. In the words of Jesus, "The Kingdom of God is nearer than you think" (Mark 1:15). Often, we look afar for value and inspiration, overlooking the treasures that lie within our immediate reach. It's a reminder not to underestimate the familiar and the close. Jesus calls for a transformation of our perspective, asserting, "The Kingdom of God is at hand" (Matthew 3:2, Matthew 4:17, Mark 1:15). If you seek redemption from sins, remember His words: "Be forgiven" (John 20:23). If your goal is to do good, embrace that it is by grace we are saved, prepared for good works. Consider how effortlessly we forget the shoes that fit us perfectly or the belt that sits just right — their comfort becomes a part of us. Jesus encapsulates this seamless integration of actions and values beautifully: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Matthew 7:12). May this message inspire you to appreciate what's near and foster a life of grace and empathy. Warm regards, Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 18, 2024)
