Statement of Resilience and Faith (05/08/'24)
Statement of Resilience and Faith
The Gospel transcends words, its spirit too profound to be captured by language alone. We must live its teachings, embodying the message more powerfully through action than mere speech. As James reminds us, "Prove yourselves doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
Glory is not found in perfect, unbroken success, but in the courageous ascent after each fall—a phoenix rising from the dust of despair. True strength lies in the relentless resolve to rise again, brushing off the dust and moving forward. Even the slowest progress has meaning, so long as we continue the journey without stopping.
Each journey of faith is unique, unfurling across rugged and uneven paths. Every step taken leads to a greater good, shining a light that benefits not only ourselves but our neighbors and communities. In embodying the Gospel, we walk in grace, our feet rising on a path of shared love and strength.
