Subject: Solace in Eternal Promises (05/24/'24) -Message

Subject: Solace in Eternal Promises Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a reflection that has been on my heart lately, one that offers comfort and hope amidst life's challenges. Despite its lightness, man's blessing often feels as elusive as a feather, slipping through our grasping fingers. Conversely, disaster seems to loom heavy as the earth, unavoidable and inevitable. Yet, even in this dance of fleeting blessings and looming calamities, we can hear a whisper of hope through ancient, sacred words. "For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then, my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken," says the Lord, who has mercy on you (Isaiah 54:10). In the shifting sands of our temporal existence, where our earthly tents are dismantled and decay, we hold fast to a promise, eternal and unshaken. "For we know that when this earthly tent is taken down, we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God Himself, not by human hands" (2 Corinthians 5:1). Amidst the fragility of our mortal lives, a steadfast beacon shines. God's unwavering love is an anchor in the storm, His covenant of blessing a light in the dark, guiding us to a heavenly home crafted by divine hands. In the ebb and flow of blessings and disasters, may we find solace in these promises, assurance in divine mercy, and hope in the eternal. Here, blessings endure, unbroken and everlasting. With faith and hope, Pastor Steven G. Lee (May 24, 2024)
