A Statement of Action and Endurance (04/01/'23) -Statement

A Statement of Action and Endurance Words without accompanying actions lose their significance. It's essential to understand that true growth and beauty come from gentle, consistent efforts, much like rain nurtures flowers, rather than the loud but ineffective thunder. In our interactions and expressions of love, actions should speak louder than words or mere speeches, as emphasized in 1 John 3:18. Facing what is right requires courage, a trait we must all cultivate without fear. Life's journey is undeniably challenging, marked by battles that test our resolve at every turn. Yet, the resolve to continue, to not surrender or give up, is paramount. The quest for quick fixes is a distraction; the real essence of life encompasses much more, including the acceptance that experiencing life's depth is often more daunting than confronting the end. Death should not be feared but understood as part of a broader narrative that includes enduring strict discipline and navigating through turbulent times. Such trials refine us, and through them, the conviction of the Holy Spirit and the guiding voice of our conscience emerge strong, capable of astonishing adversaries and altering our perceptions fundamentally. Every day presents an opportunity to awaken with gratitude, acknowledging the blessings we have, thanking the divine, and maintaining humility. Living in alignment with the Spirit, as Galatians 5:25 suggests, requires us to embody the virtues inspired by our faith, recognizing that true life and substance come from the Spirit, not the flesh, as John 6:63 articulates. This perspective invites us to live fully, embracing the challenges and disciplines of life while rooted in spiritual truth and action. Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 1, 2024)
