Self-Reflection Over External Judgment (04/06/'24) -Message

Self-Reflection Over External Judgment In the journey of personal growth and understanding, it's essential to turn our powers of observation inward before attempting to correct the world around us. The essence of this thought is beautifully encapsulated in the words of Jesus: "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye?" (Matthew 7:3-4) This poignant question invites us to introspect and recognize our own imperfections before addressing the faults of others. It's a call to use our abilities and insights to first improve ourselves, thereby reducing the need to 'fix' things outside of us. In embracing this wisdom, we not only evolve personally but also contribute to a more understanding and compassionate world. Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 6, 2024)
