Subject: Embrace the Transformative Journey with Christ* (04/02/'24) -Message

Subject: Embrace the Transformative Journey with Christ Dear Friends and Family, In the midst of life's trials and tribulations, it's important to remember that our spiritual journey can often feel like a cross we bear—challenging, arduous, and at times more daunting than death itself. Yet, it is within this very challenge that we find our true calling and strength. As we navigate these trials, let us never fear the process of dying into Christ, for it is through this very transformation that we are reborn, strengthened, and guided by the conviction of the Holy Spirit. This conviction not only serves as a testament to our faith, shocking those who doubt and transforming the world around us, but also anchors us in the truth of the Gospel. The Gospel brings to life the promise of resurrection, enabling us to bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit and live a life that truly reflects the love and grace of God. Reflecting on the words of Paul in Galatians 2:19-21, we are reminded of the profound transformation that occurs when we surrender our lives to God. Paul's words, "I died to the law so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God," encapsulate the essence of our faith journey. This passage invites us to live a life of faith, rooted in the grace of God and detached from the confines of the law, recognizing that righteousness and salvation are gifts from God, through Christ's sacrifice. As we ponder these truths and the cross references that illuminate the depth of God's plan for us—Matthew 4:3, Romans 3:22, 4:25, 5:6, 8; John 14:19,20, among others—we are encouraged to delve deeper into our faith, embracing the journey with open hearts and minds. May we all find comfort, strength, and inspiration in these words, living our lives as a reflection of Christ's love and grace, and bearing the fruits of the Holy Spirit in all that we do. With love and faith, Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 2, 2024)
