Compassionate Reflection: Embracing Imperfections and Acknowledging Goodness (05/24/'24) -Statement

Compassionate Reflection: Embracing Imperfections and Acknowledging Goodness In our interactions with others, it is essential to remember the good deeds they have done, even when they make mistakes. Jesus taught us, "Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?" (Luke 6:41; Matthew 7:3). It is hypocritical to focus on minor flaws in others while ignoring our own, often greater, faults. Life's blessings are as delicate as a fur, difficult to hold onto, while its disasters are immense, hard to avoid. We should strive to judge others with compassion, acknowledging that both blessings and challenges are part of the human experience. Pastor Steven G. Lee (May 24, 2024)
