Remembering the Good: A Call for Compassion and Self-Reflection (05/24/'24) -Message

Remembering the Good: A Call for Compassion and Self-Reflection When someone does something wrong, don't forget the things they did right. "Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?" ~Jesus (Lk 6.41; Mt 7.3) It's the height of hypocrisy to point out a minor flaw (sin) in another when your sins are much worse. Man's blessing is lighter than a fur, but no one knows how to keep it, and man's disaster is greater than the earth, and no one knows how to avoid it. In our interactions with others, it is essential to remember the good deeds they have done, even when they make mistakes. Life's blessings are as delicate as a fur, difficult to hold onto, while its disasters are immense, hard to avoid. We should strive to judge others with compassion, acknowledging that both blessings and challenges are part of the human experience. Pastor Steven G. Lee (May 24, 2024)
