A Message of Divine Empowerment and Guidance (04/08/'24) -Message

A Message of Divine Empowerment and Guidance In times of uncertainty and challenge, it's easy to feel inadequate or overwhelmed by the tasks and trials before us. Yet, we're reminded through the story of Moses and the words of the prophets and apostles that we are not alone in our struggles. The scriptures bring us back to a fundamental truth: God is with us, guiding, teaching, and empowering us. When Moses stood before the burning bush, feeling unworthy and ill-equipped for the mission God had for him, the Lord said, "Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak" (Exodus 4:11-12). This wasn't just a promise to Moses; it's a promise to all of us. God fashions our abilities, works through our weaknesses, and equips us for the tasks He sets before us. Jeremiah, Isaiah, Paul, and many others also experienced God's transformative empowerment. They were called from their inadequacies to speak, act, and lead with divine strength. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness," the Lord declared in 2 Corinthians 12:9. This divine assurance is a testament to the power that works through us, even when we feel most incapable. Our journey may not lead us to part seas or face down pharaohs, but each of us has a mission, a calling in this life that requires more than what we can muster on our own. In those moments, let us remember that we can do all things through Him who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). So, when you find yourself doubting your ability to face the challenges before you, remember the promise of James 1:5, that if any of us lacks wisdom, we can ask of God, who gives generously. Like Moses, may we move forward, not in our strength, but with the assurance of God's presence and power guiding us every step of the way. In every word we speak, in every action we take, let us lean on the Lord, who promises to instruct us and teach us the way we should go (Psalm 32:8). For it is through His strength, wisdom, and guidance that we are truly empowered to fulfill our purpose and shine His light into the world. Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 8, 2024)
