Encounter Peace at the Mercy Seat (04/09/'24) -Message

Encounter Peace at the Mercy Seat In the sacred spaces where we seek solace, let us remember: "The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7)." This peace, a gift unlike any other, envelops us, providing protection and comfort in our moments of need. In a world where conflicts rage and the specter of violence looms large, the divine narrative unfolds differently. The Sovereign Power of God moves without the need for bloodshed, standing in stark contrast to the forces of evil, which often resort to violence. This juxtaposition highlights a profound truth: the essence of divine love (God) is not in its capacity to destroy, but in its unparalleled ability to fortify and strengthen us. It is a love that, when embraced, renders us more resilient and steadfast. Yet, for evil to prevail, it requires only the inaction of the righteous. The absence of justice, the silence of those who are called to act justly, becomes the fertile ground on which injustice thrives. As we navigate these turbulent times, may we be reminded of the imperative to act, inspired by the words: "Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24)." Be Merciful! In our pursuit of justice, let us not forsake mercy. For a justice devoid of mercy harbors cruelty. In the divine economy of grace, "Mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13)." This profound statement serves as a beacon, guiding us toward a more compassionate and equitable world. As we walk this journey together, may we always seek the mercy seat, where peace abounds and love prevails. Let us be vessels of mercy, justice, and peace, transforming our world one act of kindness at a time. Ptr Steven G. Lee (April 9, 2024)
