Subject: The Reflection of Our Faith & Healing Through Caring for Others
Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you well and thriving in grace. Today, I felt compelled to share something that's been on my heart, something about the nature of our faith and how it's mirrored in our concern for others.
In our journey with Christ, we come to understand that our salvation is not just a personal affair but a beacon of hope that illuminates the path for others as well. The Scriptures remind us that we are called to minister and intercede for one another, reflecting the love and mercy that has been bestowed upon us (Hebrews 1:14).
Our faith, much like a tree, is known by its fruit—actions borne out of genuine love for God and neighbor (James 2:14-26). It compels us to look beyond ourselves, to the welfare of those around us, echoing the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).
In loving our neighbors, we are reminded of the greatest commandments: to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). This love calls us to be deeply concerned with the spiritual wellbeing of others, for in seeking their salvation, we truly demonstrate our love for God.
Let us then be fervent in our prayers and steadfast in our outreach, knowing that our desire for others to know Christ reflects the depth of our own faith, healing and commitment to His calling.
May we continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, showing the world His love through our actions and concern for one another.
Blessings,
Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 1, 2024)
