The Essence of Our Eternal Souls and the Impact of Divine Grace: A Statement of Belief and Reflection (04/01/'24) -Statement

The Essence of Our Eternal Souls and the Impact of Divine Grace: A Statement of Belief and Reflection We hold a profound belief in the eternal nature of our souls, entities unmarked by time and untouched by the physical aging process. It is with deep conviction that we recognize the healing potential inherent in a life aligned with Christ, a path that offers not just solace but a profound remedy for the afflictions of the soul, ailments far graver than any physical condition. Our conscience serves as the guiding voice of our soul, a beacon of clarity and truth, urging us toward healing and inner peace. The diseases of the soul, with their profound impact, underscore the critical need for divine intervention. In this light, the mercy and grace found in Christ emerge as powerful forces, endowed with the ability to repair and rejuvenate our spirits, a testament to the infinite power of God's love. Scriptural teachings, such as "Behold, all souls are mine... the soul that sins, it shall die" (Ezekiel 18:4), articulate the divine dominion over our souls and the stark realities of our spiritual choices. This is echoed in the earnest declarations of Paul, who speaks to living in truth and maintaining a blameless conscience, guided by the Holy Spirit (Romans 9:1), and striving for integrity before God and men (Acts 24:16). The concept of sole divine mastery over our bodies and souls is central to our understanding, highlighting the impossibility of divided loyalties, particularly in the context of idolatry, which signifies a departure from true spiritual sovereignty. Every soul, unequivocally belonging to God (Ezekiel 18:4), reinforces the intrinsic link between divine ownership and our stewardship of soul and body. This statement reflects our shared commitment to these truths, embracing the deep connection with the divine and acknowledging the transformative potential of divine grace in our lives. It is a call to all to recognize the eternal nature of our souls and the profound healing and transformation made possible through the grace and love of our Creator. Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 1, 2024)
