Subject: Embracing the Promise of Resurrection (04/01/'24) -Message
Subject: Embracing the Promise of Resurrection
Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you in good spirits. Today, I'm reaching out to share a powerful reflection that has deeply moved me, revolving around the theme of resurrection and its profound significance in our lives.
The resurrection serves as a pivotal moment where God seeks to captivate our attention anew. It's a testament to the enduring fruits of the Holy Spirit and underscores the salvation that is rooted deeply in God through Christ. This divine intervention bestows upon us not just meaning and direction in life but also the invaluable chance to begin afresh, irrespective of the trials and tribulations we face. It brings to mind the stirring words, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? (Jn 11:25-26).”
In the journey of life, the inevitability of death looms over us, its timing unknown. Yet, in an intriguing paradox, living equates to death, and dying unfolds as life. Death should not be a source of dread; rather, it is but a gateway to the kingdom of heaven, a servant, not a sovereign over our existence. It's a call to let our hope and faith in Christ conquer the fears that death might stir within us, for in the eyes of God in Christ, all are eternally alive.
Death, as it turns out, is merely God's chariot, destined to transport us to the celestial realms. It brings us to the profound realization that "THE GOAL OF HUMAN LIFE IS NOT DEATH, BUT RESURRECTION." This perspective teaches us that the darkest moments of our existence never define its culmination. Echoing through time is the assurance, “I am the way and the truth and the life (Jn 14:6),” guiding us toward eternal truth and life.
As we navigate through our lives, may this message inspire you to view each moment with renewed faith and hope. Let us embrace the promise of resurrection, for it assures us that the essence of our being is not marked by an end but a glorious beginning in eternal life.
With heartfelt wishes,
Pastor Steven G. Lee (April 1, 2024)
