Beyond Silence and Form: The Soul's Journey at the Cross (02/21/'24)

Beyond Silence and Form: The Soul's Journey at the Cross In the quietude where whispers fade into silence, a realm exists beyond the reach of our senses, a space where the depth of existence whispers secrets that remain unheard and unseen. Our language, though a fragile vessel, falls short in capturing the heart's deepest murmurs or grasping the pure and vast core of existence, where silent truths bridge the past and future. At the intersection of divinity and mortality, the cross stands as a nexus of sacrifice and divine love. It is a sacred space where sorrow and love intertwine, embodying the profound nexus of grace and pain. The cross serves as a beacon in our nights, guiding us beyond mere sight towards enlightenment. It invites us to journey deep within ourselves to explore the truths that knock on the doors of our hearts. The names Jesus and Christ symbolize the ultimate sacrifice, a manifestation of love so grand that it transcends the ultimate price. Without the cross, their significance would dissolve, akin to stars vanishing from the night sky. In this dance between the visible and the invisible, where words falter and meanings lean towards the ethereal, we are beckoned to perceive the essence of our beliefs. Scriptures unfold like a map to hidden treasures, revealing a path to those called by faith. To bear the cross, to lose oneself yet find a deeper truth, is to discover life's profound meaning through self-sacrifice. As we journey together, hand in hand, through storms and calm, our spirits are invited to dive boldly into the mystery of faith, guided by the cross towards a life truly alive. In verse, silence, or deep contemplation, we seek the truth that guards our souls. Beyond the confines of form and the chaos of life, at the heart of the cross, our hope steadfastly remains. This journey, less trodden and marked by the pursuit of God's face, draws us through the cross to a new life, where in love and truth, our spirits are reborn. This reflection is not just an exploration of faith but a pilgrimage of the soul, seeking whispers beyond the cross, where the essence of our spiritual journey unfolds. Pastor Steven G. Lee (February 21, 2024)
