Subject: A Reflection on Creation, Renewal, and the Immutable (02/20/'24) -Message

Subject: A Reflection on Creation, Renewal, and the Immutable Hey there, I stumbled upon something profound and wanted to share it with you. It's a reflection that ties together the essence of our existence, the universe, and the enduring nature of divine laws, inspired by the timeless words of the Bible. Imagine the universe's beginning as a silent whisper, a divine word that sparked the creation of everything—the stars, the earth, and life itself. This word, powerful and creative, is none other than Jesus Christ, who stands at the heart of all creation. Through Him, everything was made, and in Him, everything finds its purpose (John 1:1-3). But the story doesn't end with creation. It speaks of a renewal, a transformation through Christ. He is the image of the invisible God, the one in whom all things hold together (Colossians 1:15-17). His life, death, and resurrection offer us a canvas washed anew, inviting us to be part of this renewed creation. The cross, a symbol of sacrifice, carries a message of power and hope. It's a reminder of the promise that everything will be made new (Revelation 21:5). In the midst of life's changes, this promise stands firm, anchored in the love and faithfulness of God. What's truly comforting is knowing that amidst all these changes, Jesus Christ remains the same—yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His words and teachings are the immutable laws that guide us, offering stability and direction in an ever-changing world. This reflection, like a divine tapestry, weaves together the themes of creation, renewal, and the unchanging nature of God's laws. It's a beautiful reminder of our place in the universe, our connection to the divine, and the eternal hope we have in Christ. I hope this brings you as much peace and wonder as it did to me. It's a reminder of the bigger picture and our part in it, grounded in something eternal and unchanging. Take care and let's chat soon about this or anything else on your mind! Warmly, Pastor Steven G. Lee (February 20, 2024)
