Message: Discovering the Divine Within: A Call to Mercy and Unity (02/29/'24) > Message

Message: Discovering the Divine Within: A Call to Mercy and Unity Dear Friends and Family, I hope this message finds you well and thriving. Today, I want to share some reflections that have deeply moved me, about the profound connection we share with the divine and the essential quality of mercy that defines our humanity. At the very heart of our existence is a bond with the divine, a link forged by God when He created us in His image. This bond is not just a spiritual concept but a living, breathing presence within us, urging us to recognize and honor the divine essence we all carry. The life and sacrifice of Christ are not merely historical events but powerful affirmations of God's unending love and His unity with us. These truths are not just for contemplation but are felt deeply, resonating within our souls, calling us to live in faith and recognition of this inseparable bond. Moreover, the essence of being human is intrinsically tied to mercy. Mercy is the lens through which our divine origin shines brightly, guiding us to act with compassion, kindness, and love. It's through these acts of loving-kindness that we truly define and express our human nature, mirroring the mercy of the divine. Jesus’s teachings, "Blessed are the merciful" and "Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful," remind us of the importance of mercy in our lives. It encompasses everything from compassion and sympathy to forgiveness and love, reflecting the very nature of God within us. This message is a call to embrace the profound unity we share with the divine and to live out the mercy that is so essential to our being. Let us honor this divine imprint by showing compassion, kindness, and love in our daily interactions. In doing so, we not only affirm our humanity but also strengthen our connection with the divine, creating ripples of positive change in our world. May we all strive to live in the light of this truth, nurturing the divine bond and the spirit of mercy that defines us. Warmly, Pastor Steven G. Lee (February 29, 2024)
