Subject: Embracing the Path of Conscience and Holiness (02/24/'24)* < Message

Subject: Embracing the Path of Conscience and Holiness Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you in good spirit and health. Today, I want to share with you some reflections on the profound concepts of conscience and holiness, and how they can illuminate our path towards living a life that is not only fulfilling but also aligned with the divine will. Conscience: Our Divine Compass Our conscience is nothing less than a supreme gift bestowed upon us by the Divine, a hallmark of our human dignity. It is an unyielding force that stands resolute against the allure of false idols and superficial allegiances. The quality of our lives, enriched by this divine endowment, is contingent upon how we wield our free will. Yet, it's crucial to remember that free will, when misaligned with the voice of our conscience, can become a destructive force, much like poison. Our conscience acts as a megaphone, amplifying the moral imperatives that guide us. Ignoring its call is akin to enduring a perpetual, moaning scream—a torment to the soul. Within our conscience, we find the breath and spirit of the Divine, reminding us of our sacred connection and spiritual purpose. The Essence of Holiness To walk in holiness is to embrace mercy, embody the virtues of Christ, and live in a state of continual repentance. It involves recognizing the sacred in the midst of the profane and understanding that true holiness transcends the boundaries of the sacred and the secular. This journey towards holiness is a call to repentance, to bear our crosses with dignity, and to follow in the footsteps of Christ. The scriptures remind us of this sacred calling. In 1 Peter 1:15-16, we are urged to mirror the holiness of our Creator in all aspects of our conduct, inspired by the divine proclamation, "You shall be holy, for I am holy." Leviticus 20:26 further emphasizes our consecration, marking us as set apart to reflect the Lord's holiness, chosen to be His own. A Call to Action Let us, therefore, heed the call to live lives marked by conscience and holiness. May we listen to the divine compass within us, embrace compassion, and follow the path laid out by Christ. In doing so, we not only honor the divine gift of our existence but also contribute to a world that reflects the profound beauty of our Creator's holiness. May this message inspire you to reflect on your own journey and the ways in which you can embody these timeless truths in your daily life. With warm regards and blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (February 25, 2024)
