Finding Grace in the Shadows: A Journey of Humility and Self-Discovery (03/27/'24) -Message

Finding Grace in the Shadows: A Journey of Humility and Self-Discovery In our journey through life, let us always remember the essence of humility and self-awareness. The greatest betrayal can often be the one we commit against ourselves, losing sight of who we are and the values we hold dear. Life will test us with its hardships, but let these challenges not lead us astray from our true selves. Reflecting on the lessons from the scriptures, we are reminded of Cain's story, where the Lord asked, "Where is your brother Abel?" and Cain responded, "I don’t know, am I my brother’s keeper?" (Genesis 4:9). This moment of denial and betrayal teaches us the importance of accountability and care for one another. In the ultimate act of forgiveness and love, Jesus, while suffering on the cross, said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34), teaching us the power of grace and forgiveness even in the face of betrayal and pain. And let us not forget the tragic end of Judas, who betrayed Jesus, a reminder of the deep regret that follows when we betray our true selves and the values we cherish. Let these stories inspire us to live with integrity, humility, and love, staying true to ourselves and those around us, no matter the challenges life throws our way. This title aims to encapsulate the essence of the message, focusing on the themes of grace, humility, and the journey towards understanding and embracing our true selves. Feel free to share this heartfelt reminder with others. Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 27, 2024)
