Reflecting on the Essence of Faith* (03/25/'24) -Message

Reflecting on the Essence of Faith In the journey of faith, Resurrection and Crucifixion are inseparable. The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ isn't just an event in history; it's a profound lesson in transformation and renewal. It signifies the death of the old paradigm, urging us to let go of past limitations and embrace a new way of being. Believe in the Crucifixion: Understand that true growth comes through trials. The Crucifixion is more than a moment; it's a pathway to spiritual awakening. Embrace the Resurrection: Resurrection symbolizes a leap into a fresh perspective on life and faith. It is the cornerstone of belief, a testament to the power of renewal. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come" (2 Cor 5:17). To Live is Christ, To Die is Gain: This paradox encapsulates the essence of Christian faith—finding life through surrender and gain through loss. The Cross as Our Guide: The Cross, a symbol of suffering and sacrifice, is also a beacon of hope and redemption. It is a vivid reminder that the journey to enlightenment and heaven often passes through trials. "I will boast only about the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, for by means of his cross the world is dead to me, and I am dead to the world" (Gal 6:14). Let us remember, the path to spiritual awakening and eternal life is intricately linked with the principles of Crucifixion and Resurrection. It's a call to view life's challenges as opportunities for growth and transformation. As we navigate our journey, may we find strength in these truths, allowing them to guide us towards a deeper understanding and experience of faith. Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 26, 2024)
