Subject: Embrace the Transformative Power of the Cross (03/25/'24) -Message

Subject: Embrace the Transformative Power of the Cross Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you in good spirits and health. Today, I felt compelled to share a reflection that's close to my heart, one that speaks to the profound journey we're all invited to embark upon through faith. Cross Means Suffering: At the heart of our faith lies the Cross, a symbol not just of suffering but of the ultimate sacrifice made for humanity. It represents the most profound expression of what God has done for us, offering a path through which we can find true salvation. The journey of the Cross is not an easy one; it's a road paved with trials, yet it leads us to the gates of heaven, promising eternal life. Resurrection Doesn't Come Without Crucifixion: Belief in the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ is foundational. It reminds us that resurrection—our rebirth into eternal life—cannot occur without first confronting and embracing our crosses. This belief acts as the cornerstone of our faith, urging us to adopt a new perspective on life that is rooted in hope and renewal. Self-Care in Christ Is Like Life After Death: To be "born again" in Christ means to experience life in a radically new way. It's akin to emerging from the shadows into the light, where self-care is not just about tending to our physical needs but nurturing our spiritual growth. It encourages us to live in a way that reflects our rebirth, embracing the lessons of the Cross to lead lives of meaning and purpose. A passage that beautifully encapsulates this message is found in 1 Corinthians 1:18, "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." This verse serves as a powerful reminder of the transformative power of faith and the strength we derive from embracing the Cross in our lives. May this reflection inspire you to contemplate your own journey of faith and the ways in which embracing the Cross can lead to renewal and rebirth. Let us hold fast to the belief in the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, allowing it to guide us toward a deeper understanding of our purpose and the incredible love God has for each of us. Wishing you peace, strength, and profound growth on your spiritual journey. Warm regards, Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 25, 2024)
