Subject: Discovering Our Path to Unity with the Divine (Unity with the Divine: Creation, Existence, and the Holy Spirit's Role) Dear Friends and Family, I hope this message finds you well and thriving. Today, I felt a profound urge to share some reflections on the deep connections that bind us to the very essence of life and the Divine Creator. It's a journey through understanding creation, our existence, and the transformative role of the Holy Spirit that guides us towards unity with God. The Foundation of Existence At the very beginning, "God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). This foundational truth reminds us of the intentional act of creation that brought forth all that exists. The intricate relationship between our existence and all creation points us towards a Divine purpose, where everything is sustained by God's enduring presence (Colossians 1:16-17). Guidance of the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit serves as our guide, illuminating the path to understanding God's nature and intentions for us. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit as a Helper to teach us all things and to remind us of everything He has said (John 14:26). Through the Holy Spirit, we can perceive the divine truth and find our place in God's grand design. Living in the Spirit The manifestation of the Holy Spirit in our lives produces love, joy, peace, and other fruits that define a life lived in harmony with God's will (Galatians 5:22-23). These virtues are not just ideals but are the very essence of the Spirit's action in our lives, guiding our actions and decisions. Unity with God The ultimate goal of our spiritual journey is unity with God, where our hearts and the Spirit of God become one. Jesus prayed for this unity, that just as He and the Father are one, we too may be united with them (John 17:21). This unity transforms us, enabling us to live out the gospel of the cross and embrace the law of Christ, which calls us to love, sacrifice, and serve (Galatians 6:2). As we contemplate these truths, let us strive to live by the Spirit, allowing His guidance to shape our actions and our relationships. Let's bear each other's burdens, walking together on the path that leads to divine unity. May this reflection inspire you to seek deeper understanding and closer relationship with the Divine. Let's encourage one another as we journey together, guided by the Holy Spirit, towards a life of purpose, love, and unity with God. Blessings and peace to you all, Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 1, 2024)
