Transcending Mortality: Embracing Life and Purpose in Christ* (03/20/'24) -Message

Transcending Mortality: Embracing Life and Purpose in Christ Friends, In our journey through life's challenges, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the shadows of pain and loss. Yet, there's a profound truth that offers light in the darkest moments: God has a purpose for every struggle we face and a gift waiting for our steadfast faith. Remember, God is with us through every trial, offering strength and comfort. We are never alone, for He promises never to forsake us. The essence of our existence unfolds as we learn that the secret to life is not in fearing death, but in dying to ourselves and discovering that in Christ, death is not the end but the beginning of true life. "To live is Christ, and to die is gain," a reminder that in Jesus, we find the good news of eternal life and victory over death itself. "Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him... So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus." - Romans 6:8-11 Let us also reflect on the importance of shedding selfishness, which stems from a poverty of the heart and leads to many of our troubles. Our bodies are temples of God's spirit, sacred spaces meant for worship and love, not for the pursuits of greed or self-interest. Jesus' cleansing of the temple is a powerful call to reclaim our hearts as places of prayer and devotion, resisting the temptations that lead us astray. As we share this message, let it be a beacon of hope and a reminder of the transformative power of faith in Christ. In Him, we find the strength to overcome, the grace to grow, and the promise of eternal life. Let us embrace this journey with open hearts, trusting in God's plan and the endless love He has for each of us. May this message uplift and inspire you to live fully in the light of Christ's love and purpose. Blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (March 20, 2024)
