Today, I am moved to share with you a reflection on the nature of fear and reverence in our spiritual journey. In the quiet moments of the dawn, when the world stands half in shadow and half in light, we find a profound truth: to fear God is not to be afraid but to be in awe of His might and mercy. This reverence is the beginning of wisdom, and it shields us from lesser fears that plague our days and nights. The scriptures remind us that true obedience to God is the most visible sign of our reverence. It is not out of dread but out of a deep-seated respect and love that we align our lives with His will. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control," as beautifully stated in 2 Timothy 1:7.
