Embracing Reverence: A Pathway to Wisdom and Peace (06/26/'24) -Message

Embracing Reverence: A Pathway to Wisdom and Peace Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well and walking in the light of understanding and peace. Today, I am moved to share with you a reflection on the nature of fear and reverence in our spiritual journey. In the quiet moments of the dawn, when the world stands half in shadow and half in light, we find a profound truth: to fear God is not to be afraid but to be in awe of His might and mercy. This reverence is the beginning of wisdom, and it shields us from lesser fears that plague our days and nights. The scriptures remind us that true obedience to God is the most visible sign of our reverence. It is not out of dread but out of a deep-seated respect and love that we align our lives with His will. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control," as beautifully stated in 2 Timothy 1:7. These words encourage us to embrace our faith with both humility and strength. As we submit ourselves to God, we are urged to take action, not in anxiety but with a trust in His guiding grace. This active engagement with our faith ensures that we are not merely spectators but participants in the divine plan. The fear of the Lord, as noted in Proverbs 1:7, is "the beginning of knowledge." This reverence opens the door to true understanding, inviting us to explore deeper truths and embrace the wisdom that comes from above. May you find in this reverence a path to greater knowledge and freedom, a journey where each step is guided by divine love and the wisdom of the ages. Let us walk this path together, in awe and in trust, as we seek to fulfill our purpose under the gaze of our Almighty. With warm regards and blessings, Pastor Steven G. Lee (June 26, 2024)
